6 Months
A HALF a YEAR already? Seriously????
He has been growing SO much...physically and developmentally!
We praise the Lord for awesome 6 Month Stats at the doctor this past Friday.
Weight: 14lbs 12oz (up 2lbs 3oz from 5 months!)
Height: 26. 3 inches
His growth and just overall health makes me so grateful that I cast aside my prideful notions and gave my son formula; I have seen such quick fruit from it!
As for developmentally, it's best be seen in photos:
Sitting up, unsupported!
We are just loving how much more this means we can do with him!
Like....actually running errands by myself!
Drinking from a cup...
and eating SOLIDS!
So far he has had: rice cereal, avocado, and sweet potatoes and seems to like avocado best!
Events this past months; there have been a lot of "firsts" as we've been able to do more with him!
First Hike!
First trip to the zoo!
First ride in our "big boy" carseat.
(He still fits in the infant one but we thought sitting up more would help with car-rides, and it has!)
First experience with grass...
First long trip in the car; he lasted an hour and a half with no crying!
Other than that, we are starting some fun routines at home, mainly to help Mommy cope with the fact that Aaron has officially dropped a nap and is now napping twice a day.
Two of Aaron's favorites are:
Helping Mama make the bed each morning...
and watching out the window for Daddy to come home each evening.
Other random facts about Month 6:
* Aaron starting snoring, so loud it wakes us up!
* Solid food poop...oh my!!
* Favorite activity: getting out of the house (really, he fusses like crazy until we get out!)
* Favorite cuddling/wind down songs: "There is a Fountain" and "Jesus Paid It All"
Other than that, we have just been enjoying our new routine and are trying to have a play date at least once a week or so.
Half a year has flown by at warp speed; can't believe we will be singing "Happy Birthday" to our little guy in the same amount of time!
