Day for the Gals

This entire summer, our Saturdays have been committed to helping Brandon's parents re-d0 their living room (and for me, organizing whatever I could get my hands on!).

Well, this past Saturday, the girls (i.e. me and my mother-in-law) got away for a much needed spa day! We got up and nice and early Saturday morning and drove up to Glen Ivy, in Valencia.

Since this was going to be, more than likely, a once in a lifetime opportunity, we made the most of it. Massages, facials, manicures, pedicures...all in one day!

It was soooo nice to get away and enjoy a relaxing day with my mother-in-law. Although most of the day was spent apart, at our various appointments, the moments we had together were sweet and allowed us a chance to deepen our relationship.

It was bittersweet leaving; we could've stayed for hours more! But, on our return home, the living room floor was completely finished and now all that's left are decorative touches!
